AI in short-term rentals: From “impressive” to truly useful
At the Short Stay Athens Conference 2026, Hosthub focuses on the practical use of artificial intelligence (AI) by professional property managers and management companies, presenting tools that are not theory, they are solutions that are already being applied in the daily operation of short-term rentals.
The past, present, and future of AI in short-term rentals
Alexandros Karavitis, co-founder and CEO of Hosthub, will give a 20-minute talk entitled: “The past, present, and future of AI in short-term rentals.” The presentation will analyze:
- how artificial intelligence has evolved in the industry,
- what realistic possibilities it offers today,
- how it is expected to affect accommodation management in the coming years.
The emphasis will be on practical examples and measurable value for professionals (time, cost, quality of service), avoiding excessive technical jargon.
Hands-on workshop: “Hosthub AI co-host: The future has arrived early”
At the same time, Christos Lolas, Head of Product at Hosthub, will hold a 45-minute, completely hands-on workshop entitled: “Hosthub AI co-host: The future has arrived early.” The focus is on Hosthub AI co-host: not a theoretical chatbot, but a digital partner for management companies that takes care of communication with guests in real time, automatically answers questions before and during their stay, recognizes urgent issues and requests, creates tasks for the team, drastically reduces errors and delays and overall upgrades the hospitality experience.
At the workshop, participants will see live use cases, real data, and concrete examples showing how AI automation can work today, not “sometime in the future”, as a competitive advantage in short-term rentals.
