Based in Athens, the company named “EUROPEAN OBSERVATORY OF SHORT-TERM RENTALS & TOURISM AMKE,” with the distinctive title “EVARETO”, is organising a series of draws/competitions on the organiser’s social media channels as part of its product promotion campaign.

Below are all the Terms and Conditions/Rules that apply to each type of contest conducted by EVARETO on social media.

The duration, date, prizes, number of winners, and date of announcement will be specified in a relevant announcement by the Organizer (hereinafter “Contest Announcement”) and always prior to the respective draw/contest.

When do the Terms & Conditions/Rules come into effect

● Whenever a contest (hereinafter referred to as “Contest”) is organized by EVARETO, located at 41 Erechthou Street, Peristeri, Postal Code 12137 (hereinafter referred to as the “Promoter”) for the purpose of promoting it. The Contest is organized either entirely by itself or in collaboration with third parties (influencers).

● Whenever participants take part in a Contest conducted either by the company or by influencers (hereinafter referred to as “Participants”), they agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions/Rules.

Terms of Participation & Conditions/ Rules

1. Participants

1.1. The Contest is open to permanent residents of Greece and abroad who are at least 18 years of age.

1.2. In the case of underage contestants (Participants), their participation is considered valid only after the consent of their parents or guardians. If the parent or guardian expressly refuses to allow the minor to participate in the Contest, their participation shall be deemed invalid.

1.3. In addition, Participants must maintain a genuine profile on Instagram and Facebook (or other social media platform selected by the Promoter) with a unique username. They must maintain an active user account, comply with the terms of use of the Instagram and Facebook platform (or other platform that may be selected on a case-by-case basis), and their account must not be blocked for any reason.

1.4. Employees of the Promoter and their spouses are not eligible to participate in the Contest. First- and second-degree relatives of the Promoter’s employees are also not eligible to participate.

1.5. Participants must agree to and comply with the Rules & Terms and Conditions/Rules set out in this appendix.

1.6. Entries that are obscene, vulgar, threatening, offensive, contain pornographic material, or originate from a corresponding user profile, refer to discrimination, or violate the rights of third parties will be excluded from the Contest. In addition, the Promoter reserves the right to take further action in relation to such entries and/or to remove material that is considered offensive or infringes the rights of third parties. In this case, too, Participants will be excluded.

1.7. Participants must acknowledge and agree that the prize they are claiming in each draw and/or competition may be subject to taxation under national law. The Promoter is not responsible for any costs associated with winning the prize. Any costs incurred as a result of winning the Contest are the responsibility of the Participant.

2. Time frame for the contest

2.1. Participants may enter the Contest at any time in accordance with the dates and times specified in the Contest Announcement.

3. Prize/Gift

3.1. The prize or gift (or prizes/gifts, if any) is specified in each Competition Announcement. This can only be received by the winner (or winners, if any). The prize is not transferable to a third party and cannot be returned. The Participant who has won the Contest (or the participants/winners, if any) cannot request an alternative prize.

4. Gift Policy

4.1. The Promoter reserves the right to determine the characteristics of the prizes at its discretion. The prizes of the Contest are personal and cannot be replaced or redeemed for cash. The Promoter shall not be liable for any damages or expenses that may arise, nor for any delay in delivery.

5. Announcement of winners

5.1 The Participant/ Winner will be announced through an electronic draw, which will be presented by the Promoter via the @shortstayconference page with a post on its Facebook & Instagram account, where the name used by the Participant/ Winner used when participating, i.e. the one used on their personal Facebook & Instagram account.

5.2. Within (7) days of the post being submitted, the Participant/Winner must send a message to @shortstayconference with all their details so that the Promoter can send the prize.

5.3 The information that must be recorded by Participants/Winners is: Full name, area, street, number, city, contact telephone number, and e-mail address. The details of the Participants/Winners are requested not only for the purpose of sending the prizes, but also to enable their identification. If Participants/Winners do not contact the Promoter within seven (7) days, the draw will be held again with the names of those who have already participated in the Contest. New entries after the end of the contest will be considered invalid.

6. Personal Data – Privacy Protection

6.1. Participants in the draws/competitions give their express and unconditional consent for the registration of personal data in a file kept by the Organizer for the purpose of promotional activities, in accordance with the provisions in force. The personal data of participants will be stored in an electronic file and processed by the Organizer in accordance with the applicable provisions of European Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR) and the provisions of Law 3471/2006. The purpose of the collection, storage, and processing of personal data by the Organizer is to support the necessary activities within the framework and for the purposes of the Contest, as well as future promotional activities. At any time, any participant retains the right to access their personal data and to be informed, or to object to the further processing of their data, in accordance with Law 3471/2006, upon written request addressed to the Organizer at the email address hello@shortstayconference.gr

7. Changes or Cancellation of the Contest

7.1. The Promoter reserves the right to terminate or change/modify the Terms & Conditions/Rules, which will be recorded in this appendix, of the Contest at any stage without notice. Any changes that may arise regarding the Competition prizes, the Competition, and the Rules will be announced by the Promoter via Instagram, the website, and/or other social media accounts.

7.2 Participation in the draws/competitions requires, in addition to the acceptance of the above terms and conditions, the unconditional acceptance of all the individual terms and conditions of each draw/competition, whether initial, supplementary, or amended, with the company reserving the right to supplement or amend the terms and conditions at any time.

8. Applicable law

8.1 These terms are governed by and supplemented by Greek law. Any dispute relating to the above draws/competitions that may arise in the future shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens.
